This article covers the most frequently reported sync issues and how to resolve them. For a broader walkthrough of integration troubleshooting, see Troubleshooting Integration Syncs.
A data source shows as "needs attention"
This status generally means Coefficient's last attempt to sync that source failed, most often due to expired or revoked authorization. Reconnecting the source from Integrations resolves this in most cases.
Data stopped updating but the source still shows as connected
If a source still shows as connected but recent data isn't appearing, check the "last synced" timestamp in Integrations. A sync that's running much less frequently than expected can sometimes indicate a temporary issue on the source platform's side rather than a problem with the connection itself.
A metric looks different than expected after a source reconnect
Reconnecting a data source occasionally re-triggers a historical resync, which can briefly cause totals to look different while the resync completes. This should resolve once the resync finishes; if numbers still look off afterward, compare the specific date range and segment being viewed against the source platform directly.
Two workspaces show different numbers for what should be the same account
If the same underlying account (like the same GA4 property) is connected to two different workspaces, each workspace syncs independently, and they can be at slightly different points in their sync schedule at any given moment. This is expected and typically resolves once both syncs complete.
