Billing

Upgrading or downgrading your plan

Plan changes can be made at any time from billing settings. This article covers what happens when you upgrade or downgrade.

Upgrading

An upgrade takes effect immediately, unlocking additional capacity or features — like AI Analytics or AI Visibility, if your new plan includes them — right away rather than at the start of the next billing cycle. Billing is prorated for the remainder of the current cycle.

Downgrading

A downgrade takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle rather than immediately, which gives you time to adjust if you're currently using more than the lower plan allows — for example, more workspaces or connected data sources than the target plan's limit. If usage exceeds the new plan's limits when the downgrade takes effect, you'll be prompted to reduce usage (such as archiving a workspace or disconnecting a data source) before the change can complete.

What happens to data during a downgrade

Downgrading doesn't delete historical data. If a downgrade requires reducing the number of active data sources or workspaces, the ones you disconnect or archive retain their historical data and can be reconnected or restored later if you upgrade again.

Canceling entirely

Canceling a subscription can also be done from billing settings. Canceled accounts retain access through the end of the current billing period, after which the account is deactivated rather than immediately deleted, consistent with how downgrades are handled.
