Workspaces

Managing multiple workspaces

Accounts managing several clients or brands typically end up with multiple clients within a workspace — and some accounts, like agency staff working across different customer accounts, belong to more than one workspace entirely. This article covers practical guidance for keeping that manageable as the number grows.

Naming conventions

Consistent client naming makes the client switcher usable once you're managing more than a handful. A common pattern for agencies is Client Name — Brand or similar; for multi-brand companies, a consistent prefix per brand or region works well. Whatever convention you pick, applying it consistently matters more than which specific format you choose.

User access across clients and workspaces

A user can be a member of multiple clients within a workspace, with a different role in each if needed — this is common for account managers at agencies who need access to several client accounts. A user can also belong to more than one workspace entirely, with independent roles in each. Access is granted per client (and per workspace), so adding someone to one never automatically grants access to another.

Keeping configuration consistent

For agencies especially, it's worth standardizing on shared dashboard templates and naming conventions across clients rather than letting each one drift independently. This makes onboarding new team members faster, since a dashboard for one client looks and behaves like the equivalent dashboard for another.

Archiving clients

If a client relationship ends or a brand is retired, a client can be archived rather than deleted. Archived clients retain their historical data and configuration but stop syncing new data, and can be restored later if needed.
