In addition to scheduled delivery, reports and dashboards can be exported on demand or shared directly. This article covers the available options.
On-demand export
Any dashboard or report can be exported as a PDF or CSV at any time, independent of any scheduled delivery that may also be configured. PDF export is generally used for presentation-ready sharing, while CSV export is useful when the underlying data needs further analysis in another tool.
Sharing a live link
Rather than exporting a static file, a report can be shared as a live link that reflects the underlying dashboard's current data, updating whenever that data is synced. This is often preferable to a PDF export for recipients who'll want to check back over time, since it stays current without needing a new export each time.
Client-facing sharing
For agency and client-facing use, shared report links support optional password protection and expiration dates, and can be white-labeled on plans that support it. See Sharing and Embedding Dashboards for more detail on external sharing options that also apply to reports.
Access control on shared reports
A shared link only exposes the specific report or dashboard it was generated from, not the rest of the workspace. Revoking a shared link immediately invalidates it for anyone who has it, without affecting other links generated separately.
