Connecting data sources

Data sources are connected per workspace from the Integrations section of workspace settings. This article covers the general connection process and how syncing works once a source is connected.

The connection process

Connecting a source starts with selecting it from the list of available integrations. Depending on the source, you'll either authorize access through that source's own sign-in flow (for sources like Google Search Console, Meta, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn) or enter a credential directly, such as a service-account key or API key (for sources like Google Analytics 4 and Thinkific). Coefficient requests only the read access needed to pull the relevant metrics — it doesn't request the ability to modify data in the connected source, and it never asks for your data source account password directly.

Syncing your data

After connecting a source, use "Sync Now" from the Integrations section to pull in data. Sync is triggered manually today rather than running automatically in the background — reconnecting or re-syncing after making changes on the source's side is a good habit until automatic scheduled syncing is available.

Managing connected sources

From the Integrations section, you can see each connected source's status, when it last synced successfully, and disconnect a source if it's no longer needed. Disconnecting a source stops future syncs but doesn't delete historical data already synced into your workspace.

Multiple accounts from the same source type

Some workspaces need to connect more than one account from the same source — for example, two Meta ad accounts. This is supported for most source types; each connected account appears and syncs independently, and can be referenced separately in dashboards and reports.
